This is just a note about a photography competition I'm running. The main prize will be a reasonable quality tripod, somewhere about $200 to $300 I'm hoping to finalise the exact model/brand this week and will post details to the competition page as soon as possible. The focus of the competition is to post unique and/or creative photos, in other words 1,000 people all posting macros of flowers possibly won't rate very well in the unique category. After my experimentation with HappySnapper.net I moved on to create a more traditional album/gallery style site which people can upload their photos to the site and host them for free with HappySnapper.com.au which I have done a deal with a pro photo shop in sydney to print and post out prints from people ordering them.  Currently have a few things happening at present to promote the site, firstly you get 2 prints for every print ordered, and for photographers I've bought ad space in the Sydney Morning Herald 3 times this coming week, so bit of free publicity for people there as well.
